New decree protectionist “Buy American, hire Americans,” the US President Donald trump will sign on Tuesday, April 18, reports Reuters with reference to the statement of the two White house officials, who asked to remain anonymous.
The decree, according to the plan of the administration, will allow to increase the share of American goods in government procurements for Federal contracts. The responsible authorities will have the right to review trade relations with other countries, if they suspect that their producers have greater access to state contracts in the U.S. than American companies in these countries.
The decree also applies to visas issued to foreign workers. It requires “strict compliance with all laws governing entry into the United States labor force from abroad, < … > and a higher level of employment for workers in the United States.”
