The Ministry of Finance has prepared amendments to the law “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and about restriction of consumption (drinking) alcoholic products”, implying a ban on the production and sale of albanerpeton in Russia. This writes in Wednesday newspaper “Izvestia” with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
In particular, the Finance Ministry proposes “to introduce a ban on the production and turnover of alcoholic products with content of ethyl alcohol strength less than 22% volume of finished products containing tonic substances”. The exception is proposed to make the production of this drink for circulation outside the country and export sales.
The publication notes that the Ministry of Finance amendments were prepared for the second reading. Initially, the package of amendments to the law “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and about restriction of consumption (drinking) of alcoholic products” was drafted by the senators Sergey Ryabuhina, Vitaly Shuba and others. The first reading of the document took place on March 24.
When will the second reading with the amendments prepared by the Ministry of Finance, have not been determined yet, the newspaper notes.
In a press-service of the Ministry of Finance, the newspaper said that according to the results of scientific research institutions, it was concluded that harmful effects on the human body alcoholic soft drinks. The Ministry stressed that “in this matter we are talking about the health of the population, which is much more important than the” lost revenues from excise taxes.
