The foreign Ministry criticized the decision of the Committee of the Council of Ministers of Europe on Georgia

MOSCOW, 5 may — RIA Novosti. Moscow considers biased adopted on Thursday the decision of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CMCE) at the Georgia and declares that it is necessary “to think seriously about the continuation of the Geneva meetings in their current format”.

As noted in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Committee of Ministers on 3 may voted in favor of the “next non-consensus decision in Georgia, Tbilisi previously thrown”.

“The document is striking in its bias, reaching the absurd discrepancy with reality. Declared non-existent affiliation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in Georgia, attempts to impose on Russia responsible for the conflict, Georgia’s relations with these once were part of its constituent republics, for the internal situation to them”, — said the Minister.

“Tbilisi with the support of Western backers continued to produce on international markets political propaganda dummy whose sole point is to “legitimize” the failure of Georgia to establish normal relations with its neighbors. Is it any wonder that the Georgian delegation had systematically refused to engage constructively at the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia? In this situation it is necessary to think seriously about the continuation of the Geneva meetings in their current format,” — said the Russian foreign Ministry.
