“The goods imported on the territory of Russia for further transit through the ports of Primorye will be free to follow across the border to the port of destination, where will be customs clearance procedures. The mechanism is primarily concerned with the transit of containerized goods outside the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union. The delivery time is significantly reduced along the corridor “Primorye-1” cargo will be held no more than 13 hours, according to the corridor “Primorye-2″ – no more than 4-5 hours. Now is the time for the passage of goods reaches 24 hours” – quoted in the message words of the Deputy Minister of development of Far East of Pavel Volkov.

It is clarified that through the railway checkpoint “Makhalino” the goods will arrive at the checkpoints “Zarubino and POS’et”, and through the railway checkpoint “Edge” at the Maritime border crossing points “East”, “Vladivostok”, “Nakhodka”.

Transport corridor “Primorye-1” will connect the Chinese border town of Suifenhe, the station “Grodekovo”, the Border area of Maritime and ports in the East region. Along this corridor the freight from the Chinese province can follow the shortest route to the Asia-Pacific region (APR) through the Russian ports in the East of Primorye. On a number of roads this transportation route, work began on the modernization and reconstruction at the expense of regional and Federal budgets.

International transport corridor (ITC) “Primorye-2” is one of two transport corridors between China and the Russian Far East, which give the North-East provinces of China the shortest access to the sea of Japan, South Korea and other countries in the region through Primorsky Krai. It is planned that the potential volume of the cargo base MTC “Primorye-2” in 2030 will be 23 million tons of grain (wheat, soybean, rice), 15 million tons of containerized cargo. High-level assessment of the investment in the project ITC “Primorye-2” is about 170 billion roubles.
