As reported by AP, President Donald trump in the case of approval of the bill by the Senate will sign the document. On 2 may representatives of both parties of Congress reached an agreement on the Federal budget for the remaining five months of the current fiscal year.

The agreement was preceded by several weeks of heated debate, which, as feared by many experts, could lead to the temporary suspension of the work of authorities and agencies in connection with absence of financing (shutdown).

As adopted by the lower chamber the bill does not fully reflect the wishes of the trump. In particular, less than requested by the administration will be spending on defense.
