SAINT PETERSBURG, may 16. /TASS/. The task of aligning the minimum wage to the subsistence minimum needs to be solved in the next 2 years, confirmed Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“In the next two years I set the goal, the project is now being prepared, we pulled the fully minimum wage to the subsistence level. We really must do it”, – he told, answering questions of workers of Nevsky Zavod in St. Petersburg.
Medvedev added that this problem requires funding. “I remember that in recent years we have significantly tightened the minimum wage to a living wage, bringing it to 7 of 509 thousand rubles, it was prohibitively low, say honestly,”-said the Prime Minister.
From 1 July this year, Medvedev recalled, this would amount to $ 7.8 thousand rubles.
