Moscow. June 5. INTERFAX.RU – in may, Russian banks continued to increase lending, said the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina, speaking in the Duma.
“In April lending was up 1%, final may data yet, but we see that, according to preliminary data, the pace of lending in may, also remained in positive territory,” – said Nabiullina. The economy starts to grow, and with it grows and the lending, she said.
“Rates are gradually declining, and we expect that this trend will continue,” – said the head of the Central Bank.
Faster growing lending to agriculture, as well as certain areas of transport, while the decline of the loans is observed in those sectors where accumulated problems, for example, in construction, she said.
