Qatar’s index lost more than 7% after the rupture of diplomatic relations with Arab countries


Moscow. June 5. INTERFAX.RU Qatari stock market opened down on Monday after the announcement of a number of middle Eastern countries to break off diplomatic relations with the country. Stock index QE All Share fell in the course of trading by 7.6%, other market indicators – Qatar Ex m TR QE are losing more than 7%.

As reported by the international media, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Qatar. They announced the closure in Qatar of their diplomatic missions and the withdrawal of diplomatic personnel, the planned cessation of Maritime and air links between them and Qatar.

The reason for such action was the charge of the Qatari authorities to support terrorist activities, including “al-Qaeda” and ISIS, prohibited in Russia.
