Moscow. June 4. INTERFAX.RU – head of the largest Russian oil companies “Rosneft” Igor Sechin said sanctions against the country imposed to influence the outcome of the election. In an interview with The Financial Times, he said that the initiators of sanctions are trying to affect the socio-economic situation in the country.
Sechin complained about the decrease in capitalization of “Rosneft” from-for restrictive measures. “I’m in the sweat of working, trying to increase the capitalization”. It was $93 billion. Then someone decides to impose sanctions. And my capitalization, the fruit of my efforts, falling to $62 billion,” – said the head of the company. He noted that for the first half year under his management it has grown by 25%. Sechin recalled that the sanctions did not hinder the work of “Rosneft”, but the market looks at them differently.
Igor Sechin said that he hoped the policy of the current Secretary of state Rex Tillerson who has worked in the oil business. He also sees in the global fuel market, the three leading powers: the US, Saudi Arabia and Russia. Thanks to their coordination with each other can be benefit for “companies, shareholders and for all.”
