The GDP growth estimate for the Eurozone in the first quarter revised up to 0.6% from 0.5%

Moscow. June 8. INTERFAX.RU – the Economy of the 19 countries of the Eurozone in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 0.6% compared with the previous three months, according to final figures from the Statistical office of the European Union.

Assessment of growth in GDP was revised to the better, earlier it was reported about the increase of the region’s economy in January-March by 0.5%.

GDP growth in annual terms amounted to 1.9%. Preliminary data pointed to a rise of 1.7%.
