The Finance Ministry saved via Uber and “Yandex.Taxi” more than 11 million rubles

Moscow. On 13 June. INTERFAX.RU – Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation with Uber and “Yandex.Taxi” has saved more than 11 million rubles, said first Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko at the meeting of the Duma Committee on budget and taxes. Presumably, this amount saved in 2017, as Nesterenko reported a decrease in costs when considering amendments to the budget for 2017.

“The Ministry of Finance to optimize costs to ensure vehicles moving to provide services including companies such as Uber and “Yandex.Taxi”. We have freed up the resources we allocated, including 11 million rubles for financial support of the Moscow financial forum”, – said the Deputy Minister. She explained that the Ministry of Finance redistributes allocations within the Ministry.

The Service “Yandex.Taxi” operating in more than 20 cities of Russia and CIS countries, taking in a number of them (including in Moscow and St. Petersburg) leading position among online services, call a taxi. The main market for “Yandex.Taxi” is Moscow, where the proportion of the service is estimated at 50%. “Yandex” has provided a service “Yandex.Taxi” into a separate company in the fall of 2015.

Uber is an international technology company that develops mobile services on call car with a personal driver. The company provides services in more than 570 cities in nearly 70 countries, including in Russia.
