Moscow. June 30. INTERFAX.RU – the Amount of public debt of France for the first quarter of 2017 increased to 98.9% of GDP 96.3% of GDP by the end of 2016 and has made a record in the history of 2.21 trillion euros, according to the National statistical office Insee.
The Central government debt increased in January-March to 49.5 billion euros, the debt of the social welfare system – 15 billion euros, and the amount of debt local governments decreased by 1.2 billion euros.
Earlier it was announced that in 2017 the budget deficit of France is likely to exceed the European target of 3% of GDP and will amount to 3.2%, whereas previously the government of françois Hollande and predecessor of the incumbent President Emmanuel Macron, has targetirovat this figure at 2.8%.
