MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced the intention to visit this year, the PRC. “Governments continue to operate, we conduct our regular meetings. Last year such a meeting was in St. Petersburg, this year I hope to visit your beautiful country in order to hold the contacts at government level, to ensure that we can continue to develop our economic, investment and other relations”, – said Medvedev at a meeting with Chinese President XI Jinping.
He called the visit of the Chinese President another milestone “in strengthening the strategic partnership and cooperation”. “I am confident that as a result of this visit, our relationship will be even better, though, at the moment, and so they went on a completely unprecedented level,” – said Medvedev.
He also congratulated XI Jinping awarding him the highest Russian award: the order of St. Andrew the Apostle. “It really means that your contribution to the development of our relationship is unique and the state, the President of our country so it is estimated,” – said Medvedev.
In turn, XI Jinping said, the positive development of the Russian economy. “I would like to congratulate you on your success in socio-economic development, I sincerely wish Russia great, outstanding achievements on the path of development and Renaissance”, he said.
XI called for expanding cooperation between the two countries “in a spirit of mutual support and openness, to create a joint environment for the joint development.”
