KRASNOYARSK, July 13. /TASS/. Polar branch (ZF) “Norilsk Nickel” plans to reach out to 2028 for processing 24 million tons of ore per year to 17 million tons at present (growth in 1,4 times). This was announced by Director of the branch Alexander Rumin in an interview with the corporate newspaper of the company “Zapolyarny Vestnik”.
“Now Starfleet is processed into the year a little more than 17 million tons of ore. And by 2028, the company should go on processing 24 million tonnes,” said Ryumin.
Growth of indicators is connected with the construction of the mine “Rocky” at the mine “Komsomolskaya”. The project is estimated to be about $ 134 billion.
“By 2020, we will build here two of the deepest in Eurasia trunk – ventilation and skip-cage. Each with a depth of two kilometers. By 2022 these trunks we shall open a Deposit of rich ore at a depth of 1700 meters. “Rocky” largely determines the future development of the mineral resource base of the company in the near future in the development of new capacities for rich ore,” said Ryumin.
