Moscow. July 17. INTERFAX.RU the brewing company “Baltika” has started to export beer to the Republic of Congo, said in a statement. The volume of the first party – 10 thousand litres.
“The distribution of products will start from the capital of Congo – Kinshasa, with a population of 15 million people. Soon, Baltika 0 will be available in stores retail chains Shoprite, Extra Plus and Kin Mart, at the gas stations and specialized wholesale markets”, – stated in the message.
Company Baltika delivers its products to Africa since 2007 and is the only Russian beer exporter in the region. Deliveries to the continent are 10% of sales of “Baltika” in foreign countries. By far the largest export destination for companies in Africa is Tanzania.
Brewing company “Baltika” is the Danish brewing concern Carlsberg. In Russia, Baltika owns 8 plants with a total capacity of 43 million hectoliters of beer per year (in Saint-Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Tula, Voronezh, Rostov-on-don, Samara, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk).
