Moscow. July 17. INTERFAX.RU – Russia in the first half of this year produced 15,246 million decaliters (dal) of wine, which is 15.5% less than the same period last year, reported “Interfax” in the National Union of consumer rights protection.
A bottling of champagne and sparkling wines dropped by 12.2%, to 4,073 million dal.
The decrease in the production of Russian wine production in the Union is associated with a sharp growth of import to Russia of wines from Georgia. In the first half of 2017, compared to the same period last year the export of wine from Georgia rose 89%, to 1,352 million dal.
The Union also said that in the first half of this year the production of ethyl alcohol from food raw materials increased by 34.3%, to 25,834 million has given, vodka – by 23.7%, to 36 million decaliters, cognac – by 9.1%, to 3,643 million dal. Manufacturers of low-alcohol products reduced its bottling 9.5% to 2871,1 thousand dal.
