Sberbank will send SMS to customers through their own mobile operator

As follows from the data published on the website of public procurement, on 5 July the savings Bank has chosen the company “the savings Bank-Telecom” as a service provider for formation, processing and sending SMS messages to their customers.

Sberbank will pay to its subsidiary for these services 146,75 million rubles.

The Bank is developing mobile virtual operator based on Tele2 network. About plans of Sberbank to create your own virtual operator, it became known last spring. Then the Bank was negotiating on this subject with Tele2 and MTS. The target audience was the name of the Bank’s customers are expected to create special fares that are not linked to the current tariffs of the operator.

In December 2016, the head of Sberbank German Gref in the interview to the newspaper “Vedomosti” explained the desire to develop their own mobile operator cellular companies every year increase the tariffs for SMS, and the Bank is forced to pay them tens of billions of rubles.
