“The necessary amount to implement the program of renovation will be approximately 3-5% of the total funds allocated by the Moscow government on the transport system of the whole city, — said in an interview with RBC Deputy mayor of Moscow on transport and development of road transport infrastructure Maxim Liksutov. — This figure is not something substantial.”
According to the Moscow budget for 2017, the costs of the Department of transport are 141,2 billion rubles, and the cost of the article “development of transport system” — RUB 41.6 billion
As told to Liksutov, the emergence of the idea of the program of renovation of the transport sector “participated in the planning at all stages of project development”. “Even with the scale of the programme and provided that it is calculated not for one year, any difficulties in timely and quality service, we do not see”, — he said. According to him, the municipality understands that even without new homes need to increase the production of rolling stock, and have already determined where will be located the spot, arranged or renewed urban transport as necessary vehicles. “To systematically consider the construction of several tens or hundreds of houses under the program of renovation is not as difficult,” — said Liksutov.
Maxim Liksutov: “Renovation can reduce unnecessary trips around town”
“I can assure you that urban transport is more than enough to ensure that the residents saw that it is more convenient to use public transport instead of personal car,” he said.
Now, according to Liksutov, the city committed 19 million trips per day. But after the renovation the number of trips on all modes of transport may even be reduced, predicts the official. According to him, to reduce their number provided that the transport infrastructure will be as close to new homes. Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin set the task to reduce the distance from each entrance of the city to the stop surface transport to 400-500 m, Liksutov says. “And we can handle anything, no problem there”, — says the head of the transport complex.
As told RBC Vice-Moscow mayor Marat Khusnullin, for the renovation program need about 100 billion rubles a year. “We have the budget to date, these funds spend,” — said Khusnullin.
