The Finance Ministry has called raising the minimum price of vodka economically unjustified

MOSCOW, August 28. /TASS/. The Finance Ministry considers unreasonable increase of the minimum retail price for a bottle of vodka of 0,5 litres up to 300 rubles from the current 205 rubles. About TASS reported the press service of the Ministry.

“Now set the economically justified level of the minimum retail price of half-liter bottles of vodka – 205 rubles (the cost of production and demand -approx. TASS). Unjustified increase in the minimum retail price of vodka will lead to an increase in illegal trafficking of these products and increase the consumption of surrogates”, – explained in the Ministry of Finance.
