“Rosneft” and “Huaxin” signed a strategic cooperation agreement


MOSCOW, September 3. /TASS/. Company “Rosneft” and the Chinese energy company “Huaxin” signed a strategic cooperation agreement and a long-term contract for the supply of oil. This was reported on the website of “Rosneft”.

“PJSC “NC “Rosneft” and the Chinese energy company “Huaxin” in the framework of the IX summit of the BRICS signed an agreement on strategic cooperation and long-term contract for the supply of oil. Signatures under the document was signed by CEO of JSC “NK “Rosneft” Igor Sechin and President of “Huaxin” Chen Tutu”, – stated in the message of the company.

It is noted that the strategic cooperation agreement provides for the implementation of joint projects in the field of exploration and production in Western and Eastern Siberia and is a Testament to the integrated approach of the Chinese Corporation to cooperate with “Rosneft”. The agreement also provides for cooperation between companies in areas such as refining and petrochemicals, trade of oil and oil products.

Also at the BRICS summit “Rosneft” and “Huaxin” has signed a contract to supply Russian crude oil. As reported on the website of the company, the contract will increase direct supply of oil to the strategic Chinese market, providing a guaranteed cost-effective export channel sales of oil. The agreement will enter into force after obtaining the necessary corporate approvals of PJSC “NC “Rosneft”.

In June, Sechin and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Corporation “Huaxin” E Jianming agreed to establish a working group to explore opportunities for collaboration on potential projects.

The Chinese company “Hua Xin” is a vertically integrated company, which is implementing oil and gas projects in the field of mining, refining and petrochemical, transportation and marketing of petroleum products. “Huaxin” includes banking, stock exchange and other financial instruments and is a major player in the global market of investments in such areas as new energy, Biopharmaceuticals, aviation, tourism, infrastructure projects.
