MOSCOW, September 16. /TASS/. Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree approving the strategy of development of the amber industry until 2025. As stated in the document published Saturday on the website of the Cabinet, the plan for modernization of the sector will be implemented in two stages.
“The strategy provides for a phased increase of such target indicators as the extraction of raw amber, products of amber processing employment in processing of amber, the number of functioning tourist and cultural objects related to the amber”, – stated in the certificate to the document.
In the first phase, which is scheduled for 2017-2018, it is planned the task of maintaining the strength of the industry and reduce the negative impact of the adverse external economic environment, the implementation of which is envisaged starting instruments and government support measures. In the second phase (2019-2025). expected level of achievement of the countries – leaders on indicators of the finished product and the created added value in the processing of raw amber.
It is expected that the implementation of strategies will increase processing of raw amber in Russia will increase the export potential of enterprises of the industry, will create the conditions for technological modernization of the industry.
