Google and HTC signed a cooperation agreement to $1.1 billion

TASS, September 21. Manufacturer of smartphones and tablets HTC signed a cooperation agreement with Google. This was reported in the HTC statement, posted on the website of the Corporation.

Under the agreement, Google will “become the owner of a nonexclusive license on the intellectual property of HTC.” It is reported that following the transaction, HTC will receive from Google $1.1 billion.

In a statement, the Taiwanese company says that under the agreement some employees of HTC who are already cooperating with the American Corporation in the development of smartphone Pixel, will go to work for Google.

The transaction is expected to be closed in early 2018.

HTC is a Taiwanese Corporation that manufactures smartphones and tablets.
