Central Bank of the Russian Federation said about possible fluctuations in inflation due to late harvest


Moscow. September 20. INTERFAX.RU – CBR does not rule out fluctuations in the annual inflation rate in September-October of 2017 amid a late harvest.

“Prices for fruits and vegetables have high volatility. Market conditions in September and October will depend on weather conditions. Given the late harvest, due to base effects, the possible fluctuations in annual food inflation and, as a consequence, General inflation,” – said “Interfax” in the Bank of Russia.

CB believes that in the end of 2017, the inflation will remain near target.

The Bank of Russia last week said the inflation forecast, expects by the end of 2017 at the level of 3.5% to 3.8%. In addition, the regulator has specified the inflation target, it should be “near 4%”.
