Court of Ukraine has fined the Russian airline Nordwind by $380 thousand for flights to Crimea


KYIV, September 21. /TASS/. Economic court of Kyiv region has fined the Russian airline Nordwind more than $380 thousand for flights to Crimea without the permission of the Ukrainian authorities. On Thursday reported the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Russia, Larissa garfish.

“The decision of the economic court of Kyiv region from 20 September 2017 satisfied the claim of Prosecutor’s office of Autonomous Republic of Crimea for the recovery of the Russian airline, which operates daily flights in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, more than 10 million hryvnia,” – she said in Facebook. According to information posted in the Unified state register of court decisions, the plaintiff was made by the first Deputy of the so-called Prosecutor’s office of Crimea, acting in the Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine, in the interests of the Ministry of infrastructure of the country and Kiev airport “Borispol”.

Sargan reported that the procedure for mutual international legal assistance cases involved the judicial authorities of the Russian Federation. “So, the Arbitration court of Moscow made the order of the Ukrainian court and awarded Respondent a copy of the ruling about the beginning of the trial and the claim of the Prosecutor”, – said the press Secretary.

Thus, she concludes, the proper notification of the airline about the requirements of the Prosecutor’s office “provides the Ukrainian side the possibility of launching the recovery of these funds from the debtor in territory of the Russian Federation”.
