Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the permanent members of the Russian security Council the situation in Syria, preparations for upcoming summits of the CIS and EurAsEC, as well as a number of domestic problems. This was reported by press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
“The meeting participants exchanged views on the situation in Syria with emphasis on the positive development of the situation after effective actions of the Russian space forces in support of offensive operations of the Syrian army,” he said.
“They also discussed the issues of preparation of the upcoming next week of the summits of the CIS and EurAsEC,” – said Peskov. “We also raised a number of issues of the current socio-economic domestic agenda”, – he added.
“The permanent members of the security Council of the Russian Federation congratulated the President with the anniversary,” – said Peskov. October 7, Vladimir Putin was 65 years old.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speakers of both chambers of Parliament Valentina Matvienko, Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, heads of the FSB and SVR, Alexander Bortnikov, and Sergei Naryshkin.
