MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. Statement of Ksenia Sobchak, who had previously reported the desire to participate in presidential elections in 2018, about the territorial affiliation of the Crimea in the Kremlin consider “wrong in fact and in form.” This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

“This is an incorrect statement in essence and form,” he said. A Kremlin spokesman said that from the point of view of international law, de jure and de facto the Crimea is an integral part of the Russian Federation. “Discussion of the territorial and sovereign jurisdiction of the Crimea is not negotiable in any way and with anyone”, – said Peskov.

Answering the question of bringing Sobchak, criminally liable for incitement to violate the territorial integrity of Russia, Peskov said that the solution to this issue is the administration of the President or the Kremlin.

Peskov also asked about what would prevent if statements Sobchak to register as a candidate. Commenting on this subject, the press Secretary of the President said that “unfortunately or fortunately, has no possibility to become acquainted with the contents of the statements of Xenia”. “I can’t tell you, I’m not in the CEC work, – said the representative of the Kremlin. We have CEC, neither the Kremlin nor the administration of [President] does not register candidates”.
