MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Kiev’s attempts to reassure their Western neighbors that the Ukrainian law on education does not threaten national minorities associated with it means that this act is aimed against the Russian language. This was stated on Thursday by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“The Kiev regime is trying to pretend that nothing terrible has happened, and promises to Warsaw, Bucharest, Budapest, Sofia and other capitals that education in their languages in Ukraine threatens nothing, – said Zakharov. – Then we have the question – who then threatened?”
“It turns out that all these measures are taken only against the Russian-speaking population and the Russian language”, – said Zakharov, indicating that the Kiev authorities are conducting a targeted attack on the Russian language.
The official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry called on the countries of Eastern Europe “not to trust the promises of Kiev.” “They will trick you”, she said.
