MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Charge d’affaires of Austria in Russia Stefan Weidinger summoned to the foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation in connection with the refusal of Vienna to the issuance of visas to Crimean journalists, who were going to participate in the meeting of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on freedom of the media. This was stated on Friday, the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after talks with Secretary General of the OSCE Thomas Greminger.
“In this regard, I was compelled to Express our disappointment at the position taken by the Austrian side, presiding this year in the OSCE. She refused to grant visas to journalists of Crimean mass media: the General Director of broadcasting company “Crimea”, the Director General of the information Agency “Kriminform” and the Chairman of the Union of journalists of Sevastopol, – said the Minister. – Yesterday we were invited to the foreign Ministry chargé d’affaires of Austria and made a relevant representation”.
