All organizations of the Communist party put forward the candidacy of Zyuganov in the presidential elections

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov said that all regional organizations of the party put forward its candidature for participation in presidential elections of the Russian Federation.

“I’m the leader of the [Communist] movement. Her [candidacy] advanced all of the organization”, – said Zyuganov on Tuesday in the First channel report, answering the question whether he will nominate his candidacy for the elections of the President.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist party said that the Communist party “very seriously” with regard to the election and will “definitely participate” in them. “We have prepared the program “10 steps to a decent life”, and this program can be implemented by a strong team,” he said, adding that the specific composition of this team will be named later.

Presidential elections should pass on March 18, 2018. The official election should begin in the period from 7 to 17 December, after the election appointed by the Federation Council. The desire to participate in the presidential campaign is already stated including the Chairman of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the founder of the party “Yabloko” Grigory Yavlinsky, head of the “Communists of Russia” Maxim suraykin, political scientist, head of center of social technologies Andrey Bogdanov, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, singer and human rights activist Catherine Gordon. Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet announced the decision to participate in the elections and talked about the intention to nominate his candidacy.

Earlier the Deputy of the state Duma from the Communist party Leonid Kalashnikov has already reported about the intention of all the regional party organizations to nominate Zyuganov for President. A similar initiative was made by representatives of public organizations close to the Communist party, for example, “Children of war”. However, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist party has urged supporters not to rush into statements about the support of his candidacy, explaining that “it is necessary to discuss all possible options all possible candidates”.
