The CEC approved the list of documents for the candidates in the presidential elections in 2018


MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The Central election Commission of Russia at session on Wednesday approved the list of documents that the presidential candidates or authorized persons of parties that nominated candidates will have to submit to the CEC the nomination and registration stage.

So, the candidate will be required to provide to the Commission written notice of submission of documents for registration of group of voters created for support of self-nomination application for the registration of the group, notarised registration Protocol group, the Protocol of the meeting. The party will have to submit the Protocol of the Congress, which nominated the candidate.

In both cases, the CEC should be provided with a statement of the candidate about the consent to stand data on the amount and sources of income of the candidate and his wife in six years, data on property, Bank deposits and securities. You must also notify the electoral Commission about owned by the candidate, his spouse and minor children real estate.

For registration, the applicant must submit to the CEC the first financial report, notification of deposits and financial instruments abroad, the signature sheets with voter signatures, if the collection of signatures required.

On presidential elections

Presidential elections should pass on March 18, 2018, the election campaign officially starts in the period from 7 to 17 December. The CEC repeatedly stated that while the campaign has not started, the action declaring intention to run are not subject to electoral law. To become a registered candidate in the presidential election, candidates from the parliamentary parties do not need to collect signatures of voters, the candidate from non-parliamentary parties required 100 thousand signatures, and the candidate – 300 thousand

At the moment, the desire to participate in the presidential campaign already stated, in particular, the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the founder of the party “Yabloko” Grigory Yavlinsky, head of the “Communists of Russia” Maxim suraykin, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, a businessman Sergei Polonsky, singer and journalist Catherine Gordon, blogger Alexei Navalny. The head of the Central election Commission Ella Pamfilova has repeatedly explained that the Bulk can not be a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections because of the criminal record. Furthermore, intention to go on elections has declared the representatives of some public organizations.

Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov has repeatedly stated that the Communist party goes on elections of the President of the team; the decision of who becomes the candidate, will be announced at the Congress in late December. “United Russia” and “Fair Russia” has not yet been informed about the format of participation in presidential campaign.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet made any statements about his participation or non-participation in the presidential elections in 2018.
