MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will announce later whether to go to the polls in 2018 from the party or as independent candidate.
“The President must announce his decision in what form he will be nominated [for the election] – party or self”, – said journalists the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov urged not to forget that Putin has just announced his intention to run. “There will be many legal actions”, – said the representative of the Kremlin.
In addition, Peskov said that the vision of the main provisions of the election program of the President “better than anyone”.
“Certainly, the vision of the main parameters [of the election] of the program the President has, as you know, in this country better than anyone,” said he, answering the journalists ‘ question about Putin’s election program.
“In what timeframe the program will be finalized and presented to the public attention – now I can say”, – said Peskov.
Peskov also said he believes President Vladimir Putin is the strongest candidate for the post in the elections of 2018.
“Yes, Putin is the strongest candidate – said the representative of the Kremlin to journalists. – Apart from him there will be other candidates, but chances are, most of all Putin. The level of support of the people, which he has been unavailable to other candidates”.
Commenting on the forecasts of analysts of the struggle for a post of the successor of the head of state, which allegedly will unfold after the election, Peskov called it “bread of those analysts.” The argument that the present rivalry in the presidential elections allegedly won’t be, he described as “a standard and already hackneyed and the knowledgeable people are reading the reflections of the analysts, who need no comment”.
