Sands: the Russian military will be back in SCCC, only if Kiev will provide them with working conditions

MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The representatives of Russia can return to the Joint center for control and coordination of ceasefire and stabilization of the line of resistance of the parties (JCCC) in Ukraine, if Kiev will provide normal conditions for their work.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov reminded reporters that the theme of the Russian military in SCCC were discussed Thursday in a telephone conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. “As we said at the end of the conversation, Putin actually spoke about our willingness to consider such a possibility [of returning to the JCCC representatives of the Russian Federation], if we can gain the understanding that provocative actions by Kiev against our military will cease, and they will be given the opportunity and provided the conditions for the performance of its functions”, – said the representative of the Kremlin.

“It is subject to common agreement,” – said Peskov on a question, what is the position of Moscow on the proposal of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko that the SCCC were experts from France and Germany.

Representatives of the Russian Federation that were part of the JCCC, December 19, left the Donbass. The Russian foreign Ministry said earlier that the executing officers of their duties was “impossible because of the actions of the Ukrainian side.” Up to this point in the tasks of the Russian military to oversee compliance with the ceasefire, the interaction with the conflicting parties and the OSCE observers participate in the resolution of disputes relating to the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
