MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. The upcoming may visit of the President of France Emmanuel Makron in Russia should lead to a qualitative breakthrough in the Russian-French relations. This was stated on Tuesday, the Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the meeting with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.

“We aim to provide the leaders of the content that would meet at Versailles reached an agreement to make a qualitative breakthrough in our relations,” he said.

“We now have a good opportunity to conduct a detailed review of all key international problems, to identify ways of interaction on the most pressing issues, including topics on which our views do not always coincide”, – said Lavrov.

Macron will visit Russia on a visit on 24-25 may. He plans to take part in St. Petersburg international economic forum (SPIEF) as guest of honor.
