Russian President Vladimir Putin and the permanent members of the security Council of Russia expressed concern about the situation in Eastern ghouta, where the continuing provocations of the militants. This was reported by press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
“They discussed the situation in Eastern ghouta [in Syria]; highlighted significant concern at the continuing provocative actions of terrorists”, – he said. “Noted the importance of implementation on the eve of a UN Security Council resolution 2401”, – said Peskov.
According to the spokesperson, the meeting was also addressed topical issues of Russian domestic socio-economic agenda. “In this context was a conversation about preventive measures to protect the population and social infrastructure from future floods and natural fires,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the speakers of both chambers of Parliament Valentina Matvienko, Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the SVR Sergey Naryshkin.
