Sobchak said that he had requested at the Embassy of Ukraine to enter in the Crimea

MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The candidate in presidents of Russia from party “the Civil initiative” Ksenia Sobchak said that a letter was sent to the Embassy of Ukraine in Russia with a request to allow her entry to the Crimea through the territory of Ukraine.

“I have already sent a letter, we are now waiting for an answer, the Embassy of Ukraine. If you go to Crimea, only through Ukrainian territory. I think it would be correct. If I get permission to enter through the territory of Ukraine, I’ll go” she said Tuesday on air of radio station “Echo of Moscow”.

Sobchak said that in the event of his visit will, in particular, to communicate with the Crimean Tatars. “I get a lot of letters from the Crimean Tatars, I will meet with them and talk about the problems they faced”, she said.

According to Sobchak, “you need to put again the question of the legality of the annexation of Crimea”. “We need to collect different experts on the subject and decide how to proceed. From my point of view, there are a few solutions to this problem: an international referendum with participation of citizens of Russia and citizens of Ukraine, or the second option is some kind of financial compensation, taking the lease of the Crimea, in the end, this form also exists, the same Taiwan,” said the candidate.

Sobchak said that if elected she will immediately try to start a discussion about the Crimea. “Which option to choose – I’m not ready to give an answer, this is an extremely complicated issue,” she concluded.
