Thirteen Russian diplomats to leave Ukraine

KIEV, March 28. /TASS/. Thirteen Russian diplomats on Wednesday will leave Ukraine at the request of Kiev. As told TASS the diplomatic mission of Russia in Kiev, representatives of the Embassy and consulates will fulfill the ultimatum of the Ukrainian side in the next 48 hours.

“Each of the diplomats will go home the easy way: with train, one by plane via Minsk or the Baltic States”, – noted in the Russian Embassy. Thus, organized mail won’t be sent.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Monday announced Kiev’s decision to expel from the territory of Ukraine 13 Russian diplomats in solidarity with our British partners on the incident in Salisbury. As said press Secretary of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine Marian Betz, expulsion from the country subject to the diplomats working in the Russian representative offices in Kiev, Odessa, Lviv and Kharkiv.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation noted that this unfriendly step of Kiev will inevitably impeded translation of the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine in a constructive direction and “clearly not contribute to the normalization of relations between them.” “We regret that the Ukrainian leadership without taking into account the real situation supported inspired by London’s provocative campaign aimed at whipping up tension and the unwinding spiral of confrontation,” – said a diplomatic mission, on Monday, March 26.
