MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. The Damascus suburb of Eastern ghouta will soon begin to return to normal life, as is happening in Aleppo. In an interview with the Fifth channel, extracts from which were published Saturday on its website, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“There is stripped from the militants of the place, one of the last strongholds of the terrorists. There are obvious improvements that are fixed and by the United Nations, and humanitarian organizations, is the process of exit of people, the liberation of the city. And here’s a little-a little more, and Eastern ghouta will go completely the way of Aleppo, which has already returned 100 – 200 thousand persons is less, than there were before, but it is an indicator, it really is a return to normal life”, – said Zakharov.
On Friday, the chief of the Main operations Directorate of the General staff of the RF armed forces, Colonel-General Sergey rudskoy has informed journalists that about 40 thousand civilians in the Eastern ghouta returned to their homes in areas liberated from illegal armed groups. Rudskoy also said that the full withdrawal of armed groups from the Eastern Guta is scheduled for completion by March 31.
On 17 March, the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that after the liberation of Eastern Aleppo to their homes returned more than 200 thousand refugees.
