Sands: “Rosneft” did not consult with the Kremlin on the shelf of the South China sea


SOCHI, may 17. /TASS/. Company “Rosneft” has not conducted consultations with the Kremlin about the works on the shelf of the South China sea, said acting press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“No, not with the Kremlin”, – he said. “As far as we know, the company has already made the statement that it works in strict accordance with the licenses obtained,” – said Peskov.

Earlier Thursday, the press service of the oil company told TASS that the activities of “Rosneft” on the shelf of the South China sea strictly complies with license obligations, the work is carried out in the territorial waters of Vietnam. Thus, the press service commented to Reuters. According to him, the structure of “Rosneft” Rosneft Vietnam B. V. allegedly concerned that the Chinese authorities may adversely react to the drilling company operating the wells on the Lan Do field offshore Vietnam.

On the Lan Do field discovered commercial gas reserves of 3.4 billion cubic meters. Initial geological reserves are estimated at 23 billion cubic meters.
