Sberbank sees no threats on loans, “RUSAL”


MOSCOW, may 23. /TASS/. RUSAL to service the loans issued by the Sberbank, the Bank does not see threats for these loans, however, negotiating settlement of the sanctioned company.

About it on air of TV channel “Russia 24” said the head of the Bank Herman Gref.

“They normally serve. The negotiations we are in the regular regime and with the leadership of the company, and with the government. And we do not see any threat to our credit. I think some kind of constructive outlet for the company will be found,” – said Gref.

The U.S. government 6 April imposed sanctions against the companies of businessman Oleg Deripaska, including “RUSAL”. The office of foreign assets control (OFAC) of the U.S. Treasury Department demanded that investors cease any business relationship with RUSAL to 5 June. But in the updated license, OFAC extended that period until October 23.

After being hit in the sanctions list of “RUSAL”, said that sanctions could lead to defaults on securities and adversely affect the entire business of the company.
