The acting head of Primorye Tarasenko will propose the candidacy of ex-Minister of emergency situations Puchkov for Senator

VLADIVOSTOK, June 28. /TASS/. Acting Governor of Primorsky Krai Andrey Tarasenko will offer the candidacy of the former Minister of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov for the post of Senator from the region. This he told TASS.

“Yes, he [Beams] we will have in the Federation Council”, – he said.

In this case, the acting head of the region noted that there are other candidates. “There are candidates, so we will make a decision the 30th of [June],” said Tarasenko, adding that his personal position is that this position should occupy Beams.

Vladimir Puchkov, head of the Ministry of emergency situations from 21 may 2012 until 18 may 2018. In the post he was replaced by Eugene Zimichev.

The order of formation of SF

In the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation includes two representatives from each subject: one from representative and Executive public authorities. Senator of the Executive body is appointed by the head of the region. In elections, each candidate for Governor is in the election Commission three candidates to the Federation Council. After the inauguration of the elected head of the region gives one of the candidates by the office of Senator. The corresponding decree the head of the entity must sign not later than the day after his inauguration.

Currently, the post of the Senator from Legislative Assembly of Primorski Krai is Lyudmila Talabaeva, the term of which expires in September 2021. Post of the Senator from the Executive authorities of Primorye is Svetlana Goryacheva. Its powers expire in September 2018.

September 9 this year in Primorye will be the election of the Governor, one of the candidates for the post will be the current acting head of the region Andrei Tarasenko. He’s already won the primaries “United Russia”, but his official nomination will take place at the conference, the Primorsky branch of the party on 30 June.

54-year-old Andrei Tarasenko became the acting Governor of Primorye in November last year after the resignation of Vladimir Miklushevsky. He previously served as General Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport”.
