In the Federation Council said that Russia advocated a depoliticised dialogue on security issues

BERLIN, July 8. /TASS/. Russia is ready to hold depoliticized dialogue on counter-terrorism and security issues. This was stated on Sunday in Berlin, the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Vladimir dzhabarov, speaking at the summer session of the OSCE parliamentary Assembly.

“Today, NATO and the European Union have to answer the question. They see the security architecture is divided in the confrontation with Russia, or United, to work together on common threats? Unfortunately, multilateral negotiations are not used to restore confidence and to put pressure on Russia, including by limiting dialogue,” he said.

“Embedded in the public consciousness a hostile image of Russia has nothing to do with the real situation in our country”, – said the Senator. “We support attempts depoliticized conversation,” he added. According to him, currently it is necessary “to restore cooperation on a whole range of threats and challenges.”

The session of PA OSCE held in the historical building of the German Reichstag, which is now the seat of the Bundestag. It involved about 300 parliamentarians from 57 OSCE countries. The Russian delegation is headed by Vice-speaker of the state Duma Pyotr Tolstoy, who oversees the lower chamber of the international cooperation.
