The Deputy of the state Duma Sergei Zheleznyak (“United Russia”) said that he had provided documents to the management staff of the state Duma, explaining the reasons for his absence at a plenary meeting, on 19 July, when we had the first reading of the bill on amendments to pension legislation.
“The sick leave for the period from 19 to 23 July was provided to me on the morning of 24 July in the office of the public service and personnel of the state Duma”, – quoted the Deputy on Friday, his press service.
According to Zheleznyak, it must “promptly informed the leadership of the party “United Russia” and the faction in the state Duma on the morning of July 19 about the absence in the plenary in connection with the hospital.”
However, the staff of the TASS said that “no there was no warning”. “Including the day of the meeting, he did not notify the state Duma Committee on regulation and supervision”, – said the Agency interlocutor.
Thursday Zheleznyak has submitted his resignation from the post of Deputy Secretary General Council of “United Russia”. Many of the media attributed this to the fact that the Deputy was absent on July 19 at the plenary session of the state Duma, which considered the question of the retirement maneuver.
