The President of Russia Vladimir Putin called “an essential” funding from Europe of Russian gas supplies to Ukraine because Kiev will have the winter to pay Russia for natural gas of about $ 3 billion.
NOVO-Ogaryovo, 30 Sep. Fundamentally, Europe took upon itself the obligation to help pay as part of the winter gas package for Ukraine, said President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
“And that’s the issue, because to pump the remaining volume of gas in UGS for 500 million you can, but then you have to pay throughout the winter for Russian gas supplies, which is about $ 3 billion approximately. Where will they take this money without the help of European countries? Therefore, if this agreement had the obligations for the European parties to provide funding, it is fundamentally important,” — said Putin.
