The President of Russia Vladimir Putin ordered to sign an agreement on the establishment of a Russian airbase in Belarus and instructed the Russian defense Ministry and foreign Ministry to hold talks with Minsk, the corresponding document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information Saturday.
“Accept the offer of the government of the Russian Federation on signing the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on the Russian aviation base on the territory of the Republic of Belarus”, — stated in the order.
Putin instructed the defense Ministry and the foreign Ministry to hold negotiations with Belarus and, upon reaching the arrangement to sign the specified agreement on behalf of the Russian side.
