The competition to fill the vacancy of the head of administration of Nizhny Novgorod is scheduled for November 3. In accordance with the city Charter, the Chapter shall be elected from among deputies Gordumy, the head of regional administration on a competitive basis.
NIZHNY NOVGOROD, 7 Oct. Deputies of the city Duma of Nizhny Novgorod at the meeting on Wednesday appointed a competition to fill the post of head of the city administration on November 3, according to the city Duma.
In accordance with the Charter of Nizhny Novgorod, the mayor is elected from among the deputies of the city Duma and the head of regional administration on a competitive basis.
“City Council has appointed date of carrying out of competition to fill the vacancy of the head of administration of Nizhny Novgorod — November 3, 2015 at 12: 00 Moscow time”, — stated in the message.
During the meeting, the MPs introduced changes to the procedure for tendering and appointment of the head of the city administration. In particular, the number of members of the Commission on carrying out competition was reduced from 16 to 10 persons: 50/50 of representatives of the Governor and deputies of the city Duma. Chairman of the contest Committee shall be elected from among deputies Gordumy and has a casting vote.
The former head of administration of Nizhni Novgorod Oleg Kondrashov dismissed from this post in connection with the expiration of the contract. “To terminate the contract with the person appointed to the post of head of administration of Nizhny Novgorod, concluded on 6 December 2010, in connection with the expiration of his actions and dismiss Kondrashov Oleg Aleksandrovich, head of the city administration of Nizhny Novgorod, with municipal service October 6, 2015”, — stated in the decree of the head of the city.
Deputies of the city Duma on July 22 has acknowledged the report of the head of the city administration on the work for 2014 unsatisfactory and voted for the early termination of his powers. However, Kondrashov went on sick leave and was not fired. Earlier also it was reported that investigators have opened a criminal case against head of administration of the city about the abuse of power tens of millions of rubles.
