The fed could still raise rates in December, said the head of Ministry of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev and noted that this decision, if accepted, will slightly affect the exchange rate.
ISTANBUL, 5 Oct. The probability of a rate hike by the fed in December should be considered seriously, but on the ruble, such action is not much affected, said the head of Ministry of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev.
“It seems to me that the likelihood is really decreased. But I would consider still seriously the probability of a rate hike in December. And the fact that this increase was automatically saclos next year, I don’t think so,” said the speaker journalists.
He noted that the rate increase will slightly affect the exchange rate. “It seems to me that much. But this is my personal hypothesis. I think that is already laid in the course, but go and prove it,” the Minister added.
