The Council of the liberal democratic party took the decision to dismiss the Deputy of the state Council of Komi, the leader of the party regotdelenija Mikhail Bragin from his post in connection with his detention by law enforcers.

MOSCOW, 8 Oct. The Supreme Council of the liberal democratic party on Thursday took the decision to dismiss the Deputy of the state Council of Komi, the leader of the party regotdelenija Mikhail Bragin from the leadership of the regional office of the LDPR, said the press service of the faction.

Bragin was detained by police on 7 October in Syktyvkar. Investigative actions were carried out in the framework of the criminal case.

“Because of the criminal case and being in jail, Mikhail Bragin can’t perform the duties of the head of the regional branch of the LDPR in the Komi Republic. The Supreme Council of the LDPR 8 October 2015, took the decision to dismiss Bragina from the leadership of the regional office of the party. Temporarily acting head of the liberal democratic party offices in the region will be appointed to the statutory deadlines,” the statement reads.

The question of further membership in the liberal democratic party Bragin will decide if the consequence and court it is proven his real fault is added in the statement.

“About any connection of this case with that of the former head of Komi Republic Vyacheslav Gaizer, the result is not reported. The leadership of the liberal democratic party has no doubt that such a connection is not present”, — stated in the message.
