Deputy Minister of economic development Alexei Likhachev said that there has been a steady growth of 25-26% in both directions. Calculations in national currencies will contribute to the development and diversification of trade and the avoidance of risks associated with the outside world.
MOSCOW, 9 Oct. Russia intends to expand payments in national currencies with Azerbaijan, said the first Deputy Minister of economic development Alexei Likhachev.
“If you look at the indicators (mutual trade) in rubles, we see a steady growth of 25-26% in both parties — and stress that will work with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on expansion of mutual settlements in national currencies”, — said the Deputy Minister during the meeting of bilateral Russian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental Commission.
In his opinion, this contributes to the development and diversification of trade and the avoidance of risks associated with the outside world.
