The head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev said that of the 30 million tons of export grain, 5 million will be delivered to the countries included in the BRICS.
MOSCOW, 9 Oct. Russia plans a year to put one-sixth of the 30 million tons of grain planned for export to partner countries in the BRICS, told reporters the head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev.
“Of 30 million tons, I think about 5 million tons of grain will go to the BRICS. This is only the beginning,” said Tkachev.
“This is Brazil, and China, and partly of Africa. These are the countries that are not able to provide itself with grain, and of course, today we are actively promoting this product in these markets,” he said.
Tkachev has reminded that Russia today has threshed 100 million tons of grain in bunker weight. Thus, the harvest fell short of forecasts.
