MOSCOW, October 1. Rostec has begun to audit its existing rights to results of intellectual activity that should increase the investment attractiveness of state corporations, said Thursday the head of the corporate legal Department of Rostec Alla Laletina.
Only registered objects of intellectual property in the assistance more than 10 thousand. These are mostly inventions, utility models, industrial designs and computer programs and databases, and production secrets (know-how). If you add other results of research and development activities not secured until proper legal protection, we are talking about 100 thousands of results of intellectual activity.
“We audit our existing rights to results of intellectual activity for the purpose of keeping, use and registration with the balance. Implementation of these measures will in the short term to begin the process of fully managing these assets for economic benefit,” said Laletina.
The Corporation also plans to pay “serious attention to the issues of legal protection of these assets against unauthorized use in Russia and abroad”. “Without exaggeration, this is the technological heritage of our industry, created by several generations of people, which can be effectively used for organization of production of competitive products — from Trucks with the new engines up to the fifth generation fighter PAK FA”, — said the head of the Department.
The carrying value of the rights on results of intellectual activity created by the organizations of Rostec by order of the Ministry of industry and trade, “may reach billions of rubles”. “As for the cost of the rights belonging to the Russian defense Ministry, this much large value — perhaps tens of billions of rubles”, — said Laletina.
